Potpourri: Dave Perloff Takes Over The Hollywood Fishbowl
For those of you who have had enough of Jesse hosting, today is your day! Dave Perloff takes over and takes over well!
As soon as the podcast leaves my hands and enters Dave’s, we go to the big ones - religion and politics. Dave is a man of opinions and convictions and the dialog is a lively one. When we turn to the fishbowl, we pull questions about mischief on set, bitcoin (courtesy of Lars @kommienezuspadt), heroes and heroines and favorite films! After all of that, we’re out with some good advice on not punching people in the face. Don’t punch people in the face!

Background: Dave Perloff Advocates For Silence Vocally
We return to the very roots of The Hollywood Fishbowl with our first background-actor-of-a-guest since the original series! Welcome to the show, Dave “Rice” Perloff!
Dave Perloff is best known at HWFB Studios for his excellent work on not talking during movies. But, there’s more to Dave that cracking wise quietly and only when it’s appropriate. Much more. We cover as much as possible in one conversation. And, if you find that one convo isn’t enough, there’s a Part II! Whether it’s free will, religion, dealing cards or working as a stand-in on the HBO hit series Barry, we’re sure that you’ll enjoy learning that there’s more to Dave than his appropriate silence during movies. As always, thanks for listening!

Potpourri: Jody Clark Knows A Bit About Self Defense
Jody Clark is from Lancaster, which is not a bad place to be from if you enjoy background work. Between shorts and features, background, bit and lead, Jody has seen and done it all on screen and shares those stories with us (and YOU!).
Jody and Jesse have both spent time filming in Lancaster. Jody has been at it a bit longer so he has more good stories than Jesse. But, that’s OK. It’s not a competition. Right? RIGHT? Jody also shares his interest in consumer defense goods with Jesse, who is a stranger to any types of weapons. And, of course, the world-famous Hollywood Fishbowl! WARNING: This episode has the most name drops of any so far. Enjoy picking them up!

Indie Musicians: Lin Gothoni Contends With Contending With Jealousy
Lin Gothoni is a walking, talking international perspective. Not only does she share her singing (both originals and covers) with us on this episode, she also shares that perspective. Enjoy, please do!
Lin Gothoni has a bunch of words and she’s careful with all of them. Let’s back up a bit. Lin has a bunch of languages and, while this conversation is only in one of them, I think it’s safe to assume she strives for precision in anything she speaks. Or sings. She also sings and you’ll get to hear examples of that in this episode. Of course, we also get into that good old Hollywood Fishbowl.

Indie Musicians: Ashley Lowry Knows The Truth About Pawns
Singer/Songwriter Ashley Lowry doesn’t just know the truth about pawns, she shares it with us, but not before opening up about her life, which goes from LA to Nashville and back, her music and how she contends with the vulnerability inherent to being an artist.
Ashley Lowry has been in the music game for quite some time. She started her journey with The Lowry Sisters, playing guitar and providing backup vocals. Ashley didn’t stop making music after the trio split. In fact, she did just the opposite and produced a full album independently and is on the cusp of releasing it single-by-single as Solar Yellow Human. Not only does Ashley tell the whole story on this week’s episode but she also performs two songs off of the upcoming album. There’s a lot to sink your teeth into on this episode. Enjoy!

Background Actors: Kimberly Liermann Is An Entire Blues Outfit
Humble beginnings! Who would have guessed when we recorded this pilot episode with Kimberly Liermann that Hollywood Fishbowl would grow into the mighty oak that it is today?
Sometimes, you have to look back to look forward and we’re doing just that! Kimberly was out first victim... errr, volunteer and this is the episode where-in we stumble on tons of rough edges regarding the format. The episode is mostly hits, on account of Kimberly’s sharp wit and game approach to life. The misses are courtesy of Jesse, who completely botches the setup for Guest Host. Also, he talks too much. It’s a learning process, but when learning is this much fun, it pays to be dumb!
Background Actors: Anna Jensen Taylor Is An Open Book
You don’t know where this episode is headed. Trust me. Just when you think you’ve got Anna pegged, she hits you with another sucker punch.
Anna is not your average... anything, really. From her early days in an authoritarian Jewish upbringing to her years as a behavioral science major in school to her time as a nude house keeper. Anna has contended with addiction, sobriety and toxic relationships, be they romantic or familial. How does she describe herself now? As a g-rated hobo. Truth be told, this interview bears that out.
Once we turn to the fishbowl, we pull out Solutions, Jokes (Huzzah!) & The Sexiest Thing!
Also... Moon Child. the Princess’ name in Neverending Story is Moon Child.
Background Actors: Morgan Hill Needs No Safety Net
What better way to celebrate Mother’s Day than by recording an episode of The Hollywood Fishbowl with Morgan Hill, a bonafide mother, daughter, actor and human!
Coming from Utah (by way of Las Vegas), Morgan swims loud and proud in The Hollywood Fishbowl. We get into those big boggling life questions about childhood, motherhood, life, death and all those nameless delights in between. Don’t worry; it all stays very light and breezy throughout. When we finally get to the fishbowl, we pull some doozies. Cards include (but are not limited to) Jokes, NDA, Tales From Holding and a new one, Speak German. Suffice to say, I am very happy Speak German is in that fishbowl.

Background Actors: Ryan Shukis Is Not Scary
From Upstate New York all the way to LA and the boy still has a glimmer in his eye! How does he do it? Find out in the premiere episode of Hollywood Fishbowl!
Ryan Shukis is not a scary dude. Not by a long shot. He's kind, goofy and a gentleman to be sure, but scary seems to elude him. Ryan's story begins in upstate New York and then weaves and bobs its way through New Jersey, The Big Apple, trailer editing and playing a dweeb on stage. Also, car auctions? Yeah... car auctions. Or something like that. Then, the wheels come off as we turn to the Hollywood Fishbowl and pull DEADlines, Guest Host & Knew Knowns.
